TGIF! Updates and News!

It has been another busy week in downtown Raleigh as the Governor and General Assembly works to balance the state budget. The Governor is now reporting that the state budget deficit has shrank by almost $1 billion. We anticipate Governor Perdue coming out with her budget next week.
Check our tweets announcing the IRS assisting persons with disabilities and new resources available examining data on Medicaid’s long-term services and supports for seniors and persons with disabilities.
In other news, U.S. Dept of Health and Human Services Secretary Sebelius has begun to move forward on the Class Act, a new option under the Affordable Care Act that helps persons with disabilities finance long-term services. For more information on the CLASS Act, click here.
