Last week, the North Carolina House of Representatives passed a resolution, HJR2076, honoring the 20th Anniversary of the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act and North Carolina Disability Advocates. During the hearing, Rep. Insko recognized MS Activist Alexandra O’Connor. Rep. Insko identified her as someone who has benefited from the changes that have occurred as a result of the ADA’s enactment in 1990. As we continue to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act, we are pleased that the North Carolina House of Representatives passed the ADA resolution. Watch our video to see what Alex had to say about the Americans with Disabilities Act and what it means to her.
