U.S. Dept. of Justice Seeking Input to Amend ADA Regulations

The U.S. Dept. of Justice is seeking input from consumers and advocates regarding four Advanced Notices of Proposed Rulemaking published this summer. Three public hearings will be held during the following dates and times for interested persons to express views and raise concerns regarding the proposed rules:

  • Chicago, November 13, 2010
  • Washington, DC, December 16th
  • San Francisco, January (TBD)

The U.S. Department of Justice plans to amend its ADA regulations pertaining to (1) accessibility of web sites, (2) movie captioning and video description, (3) next generation 911 , (4) and equipment and furniture.
